Overview
Nova is privacy-first. Your data stays on your device. We built Nova because we believe AI should work for you, not surveil you.
Data We Collect
Minimal: basic analytics (page views only, no PII), optional crash reports. When using cloud models (Pro/Enterprise), queries are sent to providers per their privacy policies.
Data We Don't Collect
No personal information, no chat content on free tier, no tracking pixels, no cookies (except essential session), no advertising, no data selling.
API Keys
Stored locally in your browser's localStorage. Never transmitted to Nova servers. Sent directly to AI providers when you make a request.
Cloud Models
When using BYOK (Bring Your Own Key) models, your queries go directly to the provider (OpenAI, Anthropic, etc.). Nova does not store, log, or process these queries.
Local Models
Free tier models run through Groq and SambaNova inference providers. These providers have their own privacy policies.
Third-Party Services
We use the following third-party services:
- Groq — inference provider
- SambaNova — inference provider
- Google OAuth — optional sign-in
Data Deletion
All local data can be cleared through browser settings. Account deletion available via the Settings panel.
